WATCH: Rep. Matt Gaetz’s full opening statement in day 1 of Trump impeachment articles markup
Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., spoke out against the impeachment process, calling the process “thin” and “weak.” Speaking on Dec. 11 during the Judiciary Committee’s markup of the articles of impeachment, Gaetz criticized his Democratic colleagues saying, “House Democrats aren’t clarifying that no one’s above the law, they’re just clarifying that none of them are above partisanship and politics. This is the quickest, thinnest, weakest, most partisan impeachment in all of American presidential history.” The markup comes after public impeachment hearings by both the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees.
