Both Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence, and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, an Army officer who works for the National Security Council, listened to President Donald Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, which lies at the center of the impeachment inquiry into Trump. Williams and Vindman testified Tuesday in public hearings, with Williams referring to the call as “unusual” and Vindman confirming that he reported his concerns about its content up his chain of command at the time.
