Venezuelan ‘domestic terrorists’ cry torture

Venezuelans are losing patience with opposition leader Juan Guaido, who declared himself interim president in January. Meanwhile, a Venezuelan lawmaker will face trial for attempting to assassinate President Nicolas Maduro in 2018 and the widow of a Venezuelan Navy captain has called for the UN to investigate her husband’s death. She says he was tortured after being arrested for plotting to overthrow Maduro. More than 700 Venezuelans are being held as political prisoners.
