The services sector has been one of the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. The food-service industry lost nearly half its force as stay-at-home orders forced many mostly small businesses to shut their doors. Since the start of the pandemic, restaurants throughout the US have lost $120 billion in revenue. Congress is now considering a $120 billion bipartisan bill to provide relief for the industry.
