Peter Strozk testimony at House committee hearing resumes as FBI agent faces more questions

FBI official Peter Strzok gives testimony to a hearing of both the House Judiciary and House Oversight committees. Strzok is publicly defending his actions during investigations of both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election.

Strzok’s anti-Trump text messages fueled suspicions of partisan bias over the course of the 2016 election and Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Morning Testimony had been slowed by bitter partisan arguments among the members on the panels. Trey Gowdy’s exchange with Strzok took up the majority of time at the very start of Thursday’s hearing. At one point, after just one member had questioned Strzok, the panel voted on whether to subpoena former White House strategist Steve Bannon.
