PANEL: Senate kills bill to end Afghan War

A bipartisan bill, introduced by Senators Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) and Democratic Senator Tom Udall (D-New Mexico), moving to finally end the nearly 20-year war in Afghanistan was overwhelmingly struck down by lawmakers in a 60 to 33 vote. The House Armed Services Committee unanimously approved a mammoth defense policy bill to give more than $740 billion to the National Defense Authorization Act. As the wars in the Middle East continue, one young face is seeking to change how the US trains soldiers.
