Olympic athlete refuses testosterone reducing rule

After Caster Semenya lost her appeal against the International Association of Athletics Federations, more athletes are coming forward saying they will not comply with the decision to lower their natural testosterone. 23-year-old Kenyan runner Margaret Wambui received a letter from the IAAF saying she needed to take medicine to lower her testosterone levels in order to race in the 800m event. Both Wambui and Semenya medaled in the 800m at the 2016 Rio Olympics and are now looking into other events to compete in that aren’t affected by the rule. In boxing, Manny Pacquiao will take on Keith Thurman in a WBA Welterweight title bout on July 20th. RT America’s Steve Christakos joins Sara Montes de Oca to discuss.
